Grow rich by practicing feng shui. Part 1.

     When acquiring a new house or flat, it is essential to turn attention to the former owners’ financial state. If they are prosperous, you will prosper too. In case the former owners live from hand to mouth and have decided to sell this dwelling because of troubles in life, you are in risk to take their course. Nowadays many wealthy people settle apart former residents of communal flats and then do superb Western-style makeovers there. But unfortunately some of them suffer financial collapse later on (statistics are there) since the communal flats’ energy is so low and negative that even the proper feng shui is unable to correct such a situation.

    The main symbol of money is water so the introduction of water features into your living space is a method of great efficiency to attract financial fortune. But keep it within limits so that you would not «flood» your house or flat out. The main principle of feng shui is the less the better.

    If you live in your own private house, arrange a pond facing it. The best pond’s location is on the left of the entrance door (if you stand at this door looking outside). It is advisable that there will be water flowing continuously in the pond as flowing water represents the incessant financial fortune. And this water shall be pure. This is to say you shall install a water pump to make water circulate and a special filter to purify water.
    It would be a good thing to put nine fishes into the pond (the best choice will be Chinese carps or other fishes but not spiny ones). A fish is also a symbol of affluence in feng shui. There is a popular belief that if dishes maid of fresh fish are laid on the table when celebrating Chinese New Year, you’ll be in easy financial circumstances throughout that year.
 
     It is possible to decorate the pond with water lilies or lotuses as well (instead of fishes), which will also bring you well-doing and prosperity.

     It would be good to place an aquarium in your flat – preferably in the wealth sector i.e. in the southeast. Don’t locate the aquarium in the bedroom or kitchen as it may lead to financial losses or even robbery. The best place for the aquarium is the living room. Eight fishes in the aquarium shall be of golden color and the ninth one – of black color (it will take up all troubles threatening you). When a fish dies, you shell put a new one into the aquarium keeping in mind that the deceased fish takes all misfortunes of the house owners away.
 
     It is advisable that water always purls in the aquarium as it is exactly the purling water that attracts Qi energy into the flat. And if you fix the illumination there, your income will rise yet more.

     The southeast sector can be activated if you place there a potted jade tree plant (its leaves and stems look like they are made of precious jade stone). A man-made jade tree hanged with Chinese coins will do though (such souvenirs are sold in all feng shui shops). If you place there a tree-fingered toad sitting on the pile of coins, it would be of good thing. A coin (preferably Chinese one) is to be put into its mouth. This toad shall not be placed too high as it may jump away into the window along with your financial fortune. The best place to locate such a toad is the floor (even under the table or sofa). It is also recommended to arrange two toads (looking into your house but not at the street) on both sides of the entrance door.
 
     The powerful activator of financial energy is a ship (any model of a sailing vessel). Coins, golden jewelry and precious stones shall be put on board. There is no sense to economize on such a ship as it will be repaid a hundredfold. It is assumed that one ship symbolizes one source of income so if you like having a few types of business (or other money sources) you shall place some more ships. It is recommended that ships would «sail» towards the flat’s centre but not out of it. It relates to all feng shui symbols though.
 
    A popular feng shui talisman is Budai (laughing Buddha). Budai may be represented in various looks – riding a three-fingered toad, equipped with a money sack, sitting on a golden bar, holding a warder or punkah. It is considered that Budai not only brings wealth and good luck but also takes away all misfortunes and troubles (they are digested in his fat belly).
 
    It is possible to place the statuette of a goldfish lying on a pile of gold coins (instead of the aquarium with goldfishes) in the southeast area. The best choice will be a famous gold Arowana.

    One of the most popular feng shui symbols to attract financial affluence is «Good Fortune Hanger» consisting of Chinese coins and bells tied together with a red string. Coins symbolize the idea that you have already possessed money and bells attract new money into your life by ringing. These talismans look something like wind chimes and it is also possible to buy them in feng shui shops. Besides, lots of types of real wind chimes for financial fortune are sold in the same places.
 
    There are some more Chinese symbols of affluence and well-doing: a vine branch, «Lucky cat» (a fat and joyful ceramic cat with its paws up, which is often used as a money box), a hungry open-mouthed carp, a pig with piglets standing on the treasure pile, a jade counting frame, Chinese God of Wealth Cai Shen, military God of Wealth Zhao Gong Ming. Also, be mindful of mongoose family sitting on the heap of coins and gold bars, a bull lying on the gold coins stack that fulfills all wishes and the three of Gods – Fu, Lu and Shou that bring happiness, authority, success, prosperity, wealth, health and longevity.
 
    It is possible to place wealth talismans both at home and work. And some of them may be arranged on your work desk so that your business or work would bring you considerable income.

    One of the most powerful oriental talismans is a turtle, and not necessarily a man-made one at that. The real live turtle is a heavenly creature that patronizes not only the wealth but also good fortune in all life areas. The turtle holds out support of the high and mighties and gives you wisdom and sound health. Its hard shell symbolizes reliability and stability. As tradition demands the turtle shall be placed in the northern area. It may be put into a jar filled with water (in case it is a statuette) or the turtle house may be constructed in this place. Don’t keep two turtles at home as there is the popular belief that turtles lead a solitary life. And also the figure-of-one is a figure of Bagua northern sector. If you reside in the country and have your own garden, it is possible to arrange a small turtle pond there. Water and plants enhance the talisman’s power (as turtles enjoy water) so in case you don’t like putting the talisman into a jar filled with water, you may put this water container side by side with the turtle. A small plant (but not a cactus) in the northern sector is quite appropriate as well.

    And do not take it hard in case you can’t afford feng shui talismans at present. Pictures of talismans are of the same efficiency and may be hanged in the southeast area of your flat or office or placed on your office desk. The turtle may be even cut of cardboard paper and decorated nicely. A blue square (being a symbol of water) shall be glued on its top and then your photo shall be stuck on its surface. This homemade talisman may be hanged on the wall in such a way that the turtle would look upward. It will symbolize your ascent to the eminence being prosperous and wealthy. And the main thing is to trust in the turtle and feng shui, and they will certainly lead you in the right direction.
