Is black magic always evil?

   What is the magic? On one hand it is the primal eldest form of the world vision by humankind that is akin to the piety, on the other hand it is a special kind of energetic interaction. People have got accustomed to distinguish magic into White and Black. A good few of them even single out Gray magic and many others believe in Green magic (Druid magic is called like that sometimes). It is a popular belief that White magic brings the Good whereas Black magic brings the Evil correspondingly. However, such differentiation is very relative. Both white and black rites are dedicated to protect people from one another and help them to win their objectives. The only difference lies in beings, whom magicians appeal to.
 
    People, who perform magic rites, shall not be distinguished into good and evil. The same rule shall be applied to any human action. There are no good or bad deeds as everything is relative. And humans are in need of both these principles – fair and dark. The Good helps us to daydream, love and put our faith in better days, whereas the Evil make us stronger since we learn the ways to withstand it.

    It is up to a person to choose…And every magician is given with the chance of a lifetime to decide upon powers he would like to call in aid. But long after only people come to realize that it is impossible to attribute any ritual act unequivocally to Black or White magic.
    There are times when followers of White magic are bound to decide between two alternatives. If say a person’s health and safety are under threat, a white magician will perform the rite and create the protection so that any evil thrust directed at the client would be reflected and thrown back to a hater. One person will suffer misfortunes through his own deeds, whereas another man will get a chance live in security. The White magician will always choose the lesser of two evils but unfortunately even such «minor» evil may sometimes lead to the disease or even death of a certain person.
 
    Take one more example. A Black magician foresees that a certain woman is destined to die but she is a single mother having two small children to bring up. In this case the complex and laborious rite of the disease shifting is performed. Those onto whom the disease has been shifted (another person or an animal etc.) will inevitably suffer but the mentioned mother will have a good chance to raise her children, educate them and set on their feet. The rite of shifting is attributed to black magic. But isn’t it an act of mercy at that? Each of us is able to recollect no fewer than a couple of such real-world examples. Would you dare to declare then that Black magic is always evil?
